I've bought enough towels to know that most of them shed a little the first wash and probably the second wash too. But I've never seen a towel holder like this before. I was lucky that I went for the first flush: every 30 seconds the screen in the stationary bath got clogged, and I had to clean it again and again. When the wash was over, the washing machine tank was filled with fibers that I had to handpick. It may even be somewhat normal, but there were large pieces of fiber on the towels themselves. I put them in the dryer and set the timer every 5 minutes. The filter drier was completely covered with fiber every time. But when the towels dried, there were still many visible bits of fiber on them. I tried working it with a lint roller but it didn't pick up the fibers. I decided to give up because I was afraid that the work would not be worthwhile and my washing machine could be damaged by the many fibers. I was so disappointed because the turquoise color (very light) was great and the color is so hard to find these days. The towels didn't bleed - it may have helped that I used 1 cup of vinegar in the wash to set the color. I don't believe these are 900gsm towels. They are acceptable but no heavier than my 600gsm Garnet Hill towels. I cannot recommend these wipes.
