These headphones sound very "tinny". I tried connecting them to multiple music sources (laptop, walkman, sony receiver, car stereo) and they all had the same story. No matter how I adjusted the EQs or sound settings, the headphones maintained a tinny quality with no decent bass. I would have given them a lower rating but I bought them for use with my metal detector mainly because of the hook, the brand name and the price. The rest of the headphones kept falling out. When used with a metal detector, the headphones simply need to emit different beeps or buzzes, ranging from low to high depending on the setting, so sound quality across the range isn't a big deal. They will work for my purposes and the build quality and comfort is fine, but if you want to listen to music in style I would look elsewhere.
