In this case, even at such a low price, you get a lot less than what you pay for. This little paper weight doesn't even have the ability to play cassettes. If played at all, the audio will jitter as the tape speed changes. While not a trill, the tape speed is significantly slower, resulting in a low pitch and muddy sound. A day later, in addition to other problems, the unit began to intermittently insert popping noises (like an old scratched vinyl record) and for a second it squeaked about a third of the way into the tape, rendering all mp3 files unusable. I have found that these are not tape related issues as the same issue appears on different tapes but goes away when those tapes are played on a different machine. too expensive. Please note that the software user manual is not the same as the software. Apparently they "updated" the software but didn't feel the need to update their documentation accordingly. So the instructions don't apply: the listed options don't even exist. Most slider options (playback speed, mic volume, etc.) do nothing at all. It looks like the software can be useful in the right application, but it's so overly complex and user-averse that it's of little or no use to me. Back all this crap goes to the refund. Shame on "ezcap" for marketing this stuff.
