I've had several mops before, but this one is by far the simplest, easiest, and most useful. I don't always choose "Revain's Choice", but this unit was exactly what I wanted after the bearing in my old rotary squeegee froze and left me with "no squeegee". First, it has a stainless steel basket. Second, it lacks a foot pedal requiring a one-way bearing and foot mechanism seal, and third, it had a stainless steel handle. All these details make it more durable, although the bucket is made of lightweight plastic. The foot pedal has always been a problem for me and usually had to be repaired after a month of use. Double-sided mounting without a pedal is more reliable, does not require sealing and reduces weight. I noticed that when reviewing some very expensive models, the pedal was missing. The reviewers who complain don't understand how to use the rotating mop. After filling the container to shelf height (about a gallon), add 3 oz of Armstrong. When finished, release the latch on the handle and center the mop on the water side, then press down firmly on the handle and wet. wipe with several turns. Lock the handle latch and wet the soil in a twisting motion in each direction, cover as much soil as possible and leave for 5 minutes. Then change the squeegee on the water side and turn it again slowly a few times. Then release the handle lock and place the mop in the rotating basket, being careful to center and align the mop base with the center insert. Now apply vigorous pressure several times, 2 or 3 times per second, and bring the speed up to 600 rpm. This removes 95% of the water from the mop, which can hold 1 liter of water. Finally wipe off the cleaning water with a rotating movement at approx. 45 degrees (or until the mop can be rotated easily). Repeat until the room is complete. I apply a few clean sketchers to dampen the entire floor, then give it a few spins to dry it. I do three small rooms in 20 minutes. No disposables except cleaning solution and water. There is no better method!
