Great screen. 1080p is all you need for a laptop, and 300Hz is a nice touch. The laptop turns off the 2080S when not in use, quadrupling battery life. At 70% my battery showed 8 hours of battery life. But if you want to torture the battery, the laptop lets you do that. You can pretty much get a battery experience if you're happy with an hour and a half of battery life. The build quality is really insane. That thing looks like a tank. The fans are quiet all the time and not too loud under load. They do an excellent job of cooling processors. And if you don't mind the extra noise or you have good headphones, you can turn the fans up to full blast and they do a very good job of making the heatsinks look like you're on a PC. The trackpad is very nice and moves well, but I'm having some trouble registering clicks. The steelseries keyboard is comfortable to use and the software is very simple. I was able to create some good profiles and just link them to my games. A similar story with MSI's DragonCenter. It's a good utility for temperature monitoring and more (although you should install OHM), and it has profiles to help you tweak the laptop for your current use case. I leave my battery on super battery most of the time and switch it to balanced or extreme performance when I'm stressed or playing a game. The only drawback are the speakers. They could be better but you can buy them together with them. Pro tip: NVIDIA screwed up with newer versions of their drivers, preventing the laptop from properly switching between the onboard graphics and the 2080S. To fix this you need to install the driver from MSI website. Yes, it's outdated, but I don't see any performance issues, and they're a must if you plan on running the laptop for more than an hour. New drivers do not work properly.
