Lightbulbs blink erratically

When the lights turn 'white' at full brightness they start blinking like crazy. And the remote control can't stop it. You must turn off the power switch on the control unit. But if you dim them from full brightness, then go to "white," they're fine. It seems that the controller or the power supply are not designed to work with them at full brightness when they are on a white background.
