Blade: I should note that the cutting height is only 2 1/4 inches so you can't get a straight cut of the soap across it. You'll get better results with a knife and release it. Bevel and planer work well. If you are a serious soap maker this is not for you unless you make all small soaps. The soap mold itself is great, but if you fill it to the full you won't be able to use the cutter that comes with it.
