This external hard drive was great at first! It was a good price for me, a poor student. I used it for study and work and for storing my photos as a storage photographer. Once upon a time, my Laptop didn't recognize it so I plugged it into my friend's computer and it worked!When I plugged it back into my Mac it worked as usual.Every time it didn't recognize the hard drive, I did hooked it up to my computer and after that it worked fine. Eventually it stopped working. "Repair" and "Verify" didn't work either when I used disk utility. I stopped giving it to my friend who had it used for his PS4. I think this thing is meant to work with PC and consoles. I've since invested in Seagate. So yeah, definitely not for Mac.
