Review on HSU Concepts Laptop Backpack Women by Mandy Jones

Sturdy, sleek design perfect for air travel

It looked like a good backpack so I ordered it. I find it small but versatile, with good features and easy to carry. I was impressed when I first took it out of the box. The eye-catching design focuses on three carrying areas that appear to be stacked on top of each other when viewed from the back of the pack. It's not a throw-together package; It is designed to improve the look of the backpack while being functional. In addition, the material is slightly shiny and the black color is well emphasized by the nickel-plated zippers and the logo. I really like the look; it is way better in person than on the product page and will impress everyone who sees it. I see it as a backpack for those who want to carry a computer with them, but no more. There is only one computer in the main area and there might be room for a textbook in the back area. This is a great option for air travel. The backpack has an interesting design feature; it has a comfortable carrying handle (padded) and straps. But the straps have a rotating latch at the bottom so you can stow the straps in the back of your pack when not in use (like on an airplane). I like it because it doesn't stick to things when you get on a plane. When unfolded, the straps are a little short, but comfortable. When folded, there is a handy Velcro cross strap on the back for attaching luggage "extension handles" found in most modern suitcases. A cross strap keeps the pack in place while you unroll your luggage. The construction is excellent with double stitching in most areas and the fabric is what they call "bulletproof" but what we are used to calling "ripstop". The gap must not become larger. It is slightly water resistant but not waterproof. The laptop section is machine only and measures approximately 15.5 x 11 x 2.75 inches in my measurements. It fits any 15.5" laptop, but check your measurements if you're looking for a 17" carrying case. There is a smaller area in front of the laptop, 2 x 12 x 11 inches. It has room for a couple of pens and two open pockets for cell phones and maybe a 7 inch tablet. The inner zipper area is 10 inches wide and 8 inches deep. The final area is the back, which measures approximately 1.5 x 11 x 11 inches. It has multiple open pockets, pen holders and multiple slots for business cards. One of the open slots should fit a larger tablet - it measures 1/2 x 7.5 wide and 5 inches high, but the open top allows for use at 8 inches tall. Summary: If you're looking for a smaller case with useful features and a good build - especially for air travel - this is the one you should check out. Highly recommended. Please note I received this at a reduced price so I can review.
