Got this as an upgrade to my old base Dirt Devil. I have a Shark portable that works really well so I decided my next vacuum should be the Shark and this one doesn't disappoint. My wife and I live in a 975 sqm apartment. Feet, I usually vacuum about half of that area (all carpets) every 2 weeks. We wanted to have our condo professionally cleaned for $80, but I figured a vacuum upgrade would be the best bet. The first day I got the Shark I vacuumed our entire apartment even though I thought the carpet was clean from using the Dirty Devil. I was wrong. Dirt Devil was great at picking up visible dirt, but after using the Shark it became apparent that there was a lot of dust clinging to the carpet. It's crazy because we don't have kids and we take off our shoes before entering this place. After the first use, about half of the canister was filled with dust. If you have a big house with a lot of carpet I think this bin will be too small or you might want to empty it after every 2nd use. Pros: Lightweight, ideal for homes, better than a regular vacuum, great quality. Doesn't rotate. Neutral: No fancy features, just turn on/off the roller for carpets and flat surfaces.
