it does its job: Internal power supplies

bought this to connect to an old FX-6300 system I had idle. had to upgrade the PSU as I had the best GPU for the system and had all the connectors I needed. Good: It works and delivers the performance I need for the system I put it in. The Bad: Well, it's a low-cost power supply. Don't expect to be blown away by the performance. It really works and is easy to install. The price and quantity made me want to buy this power supply. that's a good deal for a power supply in this power range. It's not made from the highest quality parts, but then again, it's inexpensive and does the job. nothing to turn up, but it works. it stays cool under load and runs quietly. currently runs on Ryzen 5 3600, Asrock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard, 2x8GB GEiL Evo Spear 3200MHz RAM, RX-580 8GB Red Devil (overclocked), 500GB m.2 pcie 4.0 SSD, 1TB SATA SSD, 4TB 7200RPM HDD, DVD/CD -RW drive, 5 x 120mm Rosewill ARGB 2000RPM case fan, DeepCool Neptwin V2 and regular mouse/keyboard/headset. never had a problem. not even. The light is dim and unnoticeable when it's on, which is fine in my case. If you spend more money, you will of course get better quality, but the fact is that famous names also use the same manufacturers. It's made by the same manufacturer as EVGA and a few other well-known power supplies and has the same quality. The big piece of advice I can give anyone is ALWAYS get a power supply rated for 2x your system's load or more under load.

Pros
  • Dual forward converter design. High performance protection: short circuit / over voltage / over current / under voltage protection.
Cons
  • Minor issues
