I've only had the bag for a few months, but I took it for a week in Mexico and a week in Nicaragua. My stuff fit perfectly ( I probably pack them lighter) and I had no problem with it as a carry on. I like the way it looks and got a few compliments. Please note that the only way to open it is with a zip on the Bag is side so it doesn't open like a suitcase.A backpack's straps make it easier to get around in a crowded airport, which is great if you have a checked bag that you also need to wheel.You can also use the bag for hiking or weekend trips.
