I almost had a bad accident on my bike wearing these. I didn't start, just locked the brakes and skidded. My throttle would have ripped apart on the pavement, but it was saved and I didn't really bruise or hurt. I was very thankful for the palm/wrist guard plate as that saved me. These are the best gloves for the money I've seen on multiple websites. They survived a year of indiscriminate driving, two minor accidents and a lot of wear and tear. The Velcro on the right glove was dangling off at the end of the season, three threads, which isn't really a big deal if they're tackling everything else together. This proves once again that low prices do not always mean lower quality.
