I found this took a bit of trial and error, but I think it happens with all fibrous carcasses. I like to use foundation first, and when the foundation is almost dry I apply mascara. Usually for me 3-4 hits is all you can do before it feels like spider eyes. This is where trial and error comes into play. I roll, pin, then do 3-4 strokes and everything is perfect. Adds lots of volume and doesn't get lumpy unless you apply too much. The tube also seems quite durable, I wear it 6 days a week and have had it for a few months now. An indispensable make-up remover. Cannot be washed off with normal face wash. EDIT: My recent purchase was described as "2 packs" for $9.99. It was a regular single pack that usually cost $9.99. I made a note to Revain and they are shipping a second mascara.
