Came in a size 7 for my average height, a bit chunky/husky 6 year old. He is 48 inches tall and weighs 61 pounds. He usually wears 7R or 7H pants. Sometimes he needs a husky to fit his Heiney, but he always needs a rubber band to properly tighten his waist. on a long size but would be ok with snow or ski boots Plenty of room in back (even with jeans underneath) - this is where we usually struggle to find pants to fit him. However they are a little tight on the tummy without stretching or restricting the ability to be worn underneath. They would NOT fit a really husky or burly baby. Not until the end of the season. Lots of abdominal space and layers in the fur. Only pants that even remotely constrict. Was considering going up to a size 8 for the belly but that would be VERY long and the size 8 didn't offer much extra room for the belly. In short, ideal for tall/slim or medium-sized children. Real stick/husky kids may look elsewhere for pants. A size 8 was perfect for my slim height of 51 inches and 59 pounds - I usually wear 8S or 8R jeans. Definitely designed for cold weather. Gotta keep the kids nice and warm. There is no way to open the inner lining when it gets warmer during the day. So it might be too warm for mild weather.
