All floppy disks worked without problems reading/writing. Some of the other drives I bought had a lot of issues leading me to believe they are old stock that has been lying around for decades. But I haven't had any issues with them so they must be semi new or at least made in the last 10 years or less. I use floppy disks for old Ensoniq synths and samplers and they have worked fine.
