Great Time.: Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

01/31/2020 I have one of these in black that I bought elsewhere that has a larger diameter magnet on the back, although the magnet strength seems that way. It is firmly attached to the refrigerator and requires about 5 pounds of force to remove. I panicked and was saddened when my black kitchen clock rang for an atrocity. I had two of these overnight, they were black, my broken black is still hanging on my fridge but can't hold the time anymore. Maybe in time I'll take it to a watchmaker for repairs. In my opinion, the optimal number per fridge is three. I could easily cook three at once, what about multiple flavors and a pressure cooker? How is this possible with digital instruments? Well, my Austrian pressure cooker cooks dry pasta al dente in a minute with a quick manual escape, but the minimum I can set is 2 minutes, for example. It can take 2-4 minutes to cook spinach perfectly, but my 2 flavors (I'm married and I need 2 flavors to cook enough spinach for my spouse and I) have a 5 minute minimum set time, so is another timer necessary . Etc. My ice cream maker's chimes are too quiet to be heard when I'm busy elsewhere, so these SUPER AWESOME vintage alarm tones are perfect. Yes, I could use a digital device for this task, but I just find those old manual timers faster for certain tasks. Just a quick twist and they're done, faster than picking up the phone to select an alarm app etc., especially with floured hands when baking homemade pizza. — Julie Sands.
