It's a beautiful dress, as long as people only see you from the front. The side view of this dress is terrible. It makes you look like a termite infested house. I think he needs darts in his bodice or something because it hangs right off his bust line and I don't want to risk fabric to see if darts help. I did it twice. One made of linen with pockets and one made of cotton without pockets. Looks terrible in both fabrics. You must have sewing experience to make these patterns and I have sewn my own dresses in junior high school, high school, college and beyond. I had yet to see a photo tutorial on making a lined bodice. I really like the way they do it, but it's not what I'm used to. I also made a style arc top and I like it, but next time I will make changes as well. I might try a muslin version for the next Style Arc pattern I try.
