I don't know what other reviewers are saying. But replacing the old processor with this one is probably not the best idea due to compatibility issues. My old Asus P4P800-E Deluxe burned out so I needed a new solution. The ASUS Core 2 Quad/Intel G41/DDR3/A&V&GbE/Micro ATX P5G41T-M LX motherboard is a great replacement and works very well with this 3.06GHz dual-core E6600 processor. I'm using a 1TB SATA drive (WD Cav Black), I'm using integrated graphics, and I'm running Win Server 2003. No build issues so far. I installed 4GB RAM 1333 DDR3. All 4GB are recognized. Generally easy to install. My only complaint is that the thermal sync that comes with this processor is extremely terrible. It's worse than my old P4 3GHz. The plastic mobo mount just sucks. If you know what you're doing, this is the available processor for a new build. Again, this isn't something I would use to upgrade an old board.
