My problem is that my Gasser drag car has moved the engine back into the firewall and it is difficult to get to the rear cylinder valve springs. This tool fits 3/8 or 7/16 bolts by reversing the threaded barrel that sticks out from the bottom. The threaded barrel is held in place by a pin and clip. It's very easy to swap the ends. Equally important, the handle pivots. So if you can't operate the unit at a 180 degree angle from the rocker arm/valve stem bolt line, you have a few other angles to try. I think I have to turn the knob forward 10-15 degrees to bypass the firewall. Works on both sides of the engine. Haven't really used it yet, but as long as it can handle 400lb springs I think it's great, especially for the price on offer here. I wrote this because the promotional copy doesn't explain any of this, so I wasn't sure I'd get something to use until it actually did.
