I used to use one of the leading baby skin care brands. My little one cried and cried every time I used it. I didn't know she was allergic to the product and just thought she didn't like the feel. A day later, after noticing redness and irritation after using it, I switched to Aveeno Baby on the recommendation of my pediatrician. I've only been using it for two days and I noticed a difference immediately. The product absorbed quickly, was very soothing and most importantly it didn't cause my child any irritation or crying! I live in the desert and dry skin is my lifestyle, but this product is incredibly moisturizing and leaves my baby's skin soft and supple. While it doesn't have the strong "baby" scent of a leading brand, it is odorless but has a pleasant neutral scent. My little one's eczema has also improved a lot since using it which is great as some eczema lotions can't be used until she's older. While it might not be as protective as a balm, it's a great everyday lotion that won't rub off or get on anything. Highly recommended. I didn't use the shower gel that came with it, but I'm sure it's the same quality as the body lotion. I will update my review after the swim!
