Although it's somewhat flexible, it's plastic with all the limitations that that entails. The sizing is quite generous. I usually wear 11.5 but it's sold out. I think only short people need half sizes, taller people only need full size feet. At least that's how many manufacturers seem to think these days. I chose size 11 based on the toe shape and it turned out to be the right choice for me as the heel goes straight to the trailing edge with no protrusion but also no clearance. The lack of flexibility is also evident in that wide toe. This may not apply to you, but my legs have served the farmer for eight decades, and they've been beaten more than once. I have several broken toes rubbing against the inside of the top of my Crocs, so I can only go without socks for a short time. I can wear them a little longer with socks, but they are definitely not suitable for the whole day. However, they do what I wanted, just put them on to walk my companion dog.
