These filters are thicker than standard Dyson filters. While this sounds like a plus, it actually reduces performance. I noticed a decrease in the performance of my Dyson and suspected my original filters had reached their limit where flushing wasn't really effective anymore, so I bought new filters. The first time I used it with these filters it was better but still not normal. I happen to live near a Dyson service center so I decided to take my machine with me. They told me "these non-genuine filters are too thick" - meaning specifically the pre-filter cone that sits in the cyclone section - and replaced it with a (free) genuine Dyson pre-filter. Suction immediately returned to normal. I bought them because they were cheaper than original Dyson filters but now I regret it. Since I value suction power/performance, the original filter would be better for me. I think it's a compromise between suction and filtering.
