I had to go back to medium and to large for my cat who was almost 9 pounds. Can't comment on the comfort as she didn't like it at all. Or I guess I should say a bite - she had to wear it 1 week post op and bit so many tiny holes in it (but didn't take it off after learning to fit my neck - not too tight but snug) that I then had to throw it away. Importantly, 1) you need to walk faster on your back, not your stomach. If it's on its stomach, the cat can chew it up. 2) A cat can get caught in it (two paws in a hole) when trying to get out of it, so watch carefully. 3) Despite biting holes in it, she never got to the surgical wound, which is an important part. 4) Much better than the pubic cone! The vet was so excited to see one of these surgical suits in action.
