Let's start with the aesthetics. These little speakers are unobtrusive and still look great. The dark gray plastic case is surrounded by beautiful wooden panels on both sides. There are banana plugs on the back. There are anti-vibration legs on the bottom, which is a big plus. Sound? BIG! I was pleasantly surprised at how good these speakers sound. Bass and treble are well balanced, making the sound deeper and warmer. Don't get me wrong these are not my JBL L series and they are not for a DJ night at the club. However, combined with a lower output amplifier (mine is connected to a Denon UD-30M with 22 watts per channel). They fill my bedroom with sound. I've heard everything from Tom Petty to Pink Floyd to Zeppelin through them and they all sound great. The only limitation is the speaker grilles. What were they thinking? The inner grille blocks a lot of noise. Simple solution, just leave them. Some people have successfully carved out the inner grille. $63!?! If you connect them to a low powered amplifier/receiver in a small to medium sized room, you'll love these speakers.
