Review on 🚚 SurePlate TM EM16001 Trailer/Truck Rubber License Plate Holder Bracket, Economy-Max by David Citizen

Heavy Duty!: Frame

My boat trailer has very low ground clearance and the panel scrapes the ground (as it does every time I pull in and out of my driveway). About a year ago I noticed that my plastic license plate holder had a crack. Started looking for a replacement. All I could find in the flexible mount was flimsy plastic that wouldn't last long. I was about to make my own when I came across the SurePlate and ordered it straight away. I was pleasantly surprised when I took it out of the box. Fat and tough looking. In order to get the ground clearance, I had to set the plate as high as possible. To do this I had to drill new mounting holes in the SurePlate. The inlaid fabric in these things is as strong as a nail. It took about an hour with a drill, hole punch and Xacto knife to make the hole. A year has passed and it is still the same as when it was installed. $30 seems pretty high for a license plate installation. But it's worth every penny knowing I'll never have to replace it again (or challenge the DMV to replace a lost license plate). If you need a secure flexible mount this is the best available.
