I originally ordered these because I have the right water bottle and I wanted to test it for the first time. I ended up using it with food and filling it with ice while driving for 12 hours and it's amazing the ice didn't melt the whole time! The item I kept in the container was kept completely cool. For this reason, I absolutely recommend this food storage container HOT or COLD! The lid is very strong and is easy to close, screw on and off. The container itself is about the size of my palm, perfect for small items! The color of the container is great too! This would be perfect for school age kids [or adults] to carry around in a lunch bag and it works amazing!
