I can finally say that I have found a monitor that is perfect for my job as a web developer. I've used a few different external monitors with my laptop, but all but this Samsung SJ55W 34-inch Ultra Wide Monitor somehow hit the mark. Regular 1080p monitors just couldn't display enough on the screen, causing me to keep switching between apps. The 4K monitors were ultra clear and high definition, but the font size was too small to read comfortably. The wide screen and 3440 x 1440 resolution of this Samsung is spot on, and it has no problem keeping my code editor and multiple terminals and browsers on the screen at the same time. Another thing I love about this monitor is its anti-glare screen. My desktop is right next to a large window, which in the past has caused many glare issues on other monitors with glossy panels. I've never had a problem seeing my work on this Samsung screen, even in broad daylight. The monitor offers additional features such as the ability to display two video inputs/sources simultaneously (side by side or picture in picture). image) and FreeSync capability, but I haven't tried them yet. The 75Hz refresh rate is slightly faster than the 60Hz that most other monitors have, and combined with the fast 4ms response time, this can also make for a good gaming moment.
