I bought heat resistant gloves to protect my cast iron pan which I heat to 450 degrees for baking bread. When I first used gloves, I wore them with the logo printed over my hands. The dutch oven immediately felt hot through the gloves and my fingers turned red and slightly swollen. Next time I made sure the logo was in my palms and everything was fine. They will also feel snug on your arms when first putting them on, which they said is to be expected, but I just stretched them a little and they eased up nicely. I like how they protect my forearms. No other hot stand does this. My Dutch Oven is large and unwieldy so the extra protection is very welcome!
