Do you need a groove in the flange?
Should the flange on the 53398 Walker intermediate exhaust have a groove? I was trying to fit a 2001 Tacoma 3.4L and the old part and flange from the catalytic converter has a groove, but the 53398 I order doesn't have one and therefore the Walker 31374 exhaust gasket is too deep causing a gap .
