Tested on a new computer with USB 3.2, wrote / read from an SSD drive. The speed of _writing_ large files at the beginning = 59-60 Mb / s (the first ~ 2 gigabytes), then as it warms up, it drops the speed to 40, 30 and further to 20 Mb / s (usb 2.0 speed). Large file _read_ speed: - the read speed on the SSD drive is insane - more than 2022Mb / s (I checked it several times, a 10GB file is copied in a couple of seconds), - HDD read speed - if the file is not large (as long as it fits into the disk cache), then the speed is prohibitive, as the file size increases, the speed approaches the maximum write speed on the HDD (80-120 Mb / s)
