First of all this is a carbon steel razor if not looked after it will rust. 95% of straight razors will rust if not cleaned and oiled. This is a good functional razor on the lower end of the spectrum. It won't be ready to shave like no factory blades. You need to sharpen it, or better yet if you are reading this you should send it to a professional sharpener. The finishing of these blades will be simple and functional. It won't compete with a $500 factory razor or a $1,500 razor. But if you take care of it, it will last you a lifetime and ensure a good shave.
