Basically I was looking for a metal cube shelf, exactly the same but made of a metal material like aluminium. You don't get that here. I got it because I wanted a small and cheaper bookshelf alternative and this works for that but make sure you put the heaviest books on the bottom. They're strong enough and maybe better suited to holding your clothes or bedding or even figurines or whatever you want to display, but don't put something too expensive up, it might fall through if it's too heavy. I haven't experienced it myself, but I see that plastic eventually gives up. If you just need something temporarily, this is perfect. It does the job. But don't expect something that is 100% strong and durable. It's just not right. If you're looking for strength or durability, look elsewhere. It might be twice the price, but you'll find it's more durable. In terms of durability, I've had it on carpet with books in each slot, and it hasn't fallen off or anything yet. I hope it doesn't fall off and fail. I've had it maybe a month or two and so far so good so I'll give it to them. It's really not bad! Just know what you're buying beforehand.
