Not the worst: Stabilizers

Bought this at the last minute to replace a stolen unit that has done about 450 on me shooting without True Run and Shoot Style (*). It takes a while to set up, not because of the poor design but because you can't trust hand tightening. Everything works when it is. It's not a good setting if you need to switch lenses in a hurry, mainly to track focus, but it's a good setting too. Here are my complaints: Bring a tightening/loosening tool. The pliers work. Hand tightening just doesn't work(*). Even if you think you're fine. There will be. Luckily it has a standard fuse on the camera head. If you spontaneously pick this thing up by the front handles, it'll just flip over, probably pulling the crap out of your hand in the process. The tracking focus is also a bit jerky, but with a little patience it works fine. It looks like a negative review, but it really isn't. Those particular rigs are way overpriced, but this brand gives you something you can do with almost anything, with a little elbow grease, for half the price. Also note: The matte box is made of plastic and cannot be folded up like the professional model. Each flap must be removed to maintain a reasonable package size. I'm really satisfied with this product for its price in general.
