Great for cookies or batter, don't make pancakes

I like it for cookies or batter but NOT FOR CRAP, it slips under the cutout. I'll try flipping it on the rubber side but I doubt it will work. The metal is definitely not non-stick, I'm not 100% sure how to fix that. I tried buttering the sides, didn't work, I've heard flour works but I doubt it. I'd rather use my Mickey waffle maker than suffer.
