Review on 🔍 Craftsman 9 17816 General Purpose Cartridge: Top-Performing Filter for All-Purpose Use by David Encarnacion

Same experience as most other one star reviews. The built-in filter plate and plastic "compression" nut is an unfortunate design that does not securely hold the filter in place. The filter can fall off when moving the vacuum cleaner, and sometimes for no apparent reason. I started removing the top of the vacuum to make sure the filter was in place every time before turning it on. Not in the way you would want to use a shop vacuum. Even so, he just fell down in the middle of clearing a pile of sawdust. I heard a pop and turned to see that half of the exhaust filter had exploded. When I removed the rest of the exhaust filter, I found an inch of sawdust in the exhaust vent. I can't imagine that's good for the engine. I am writing this review while literally letting the dust settle. If I could give this filter less than 1 star I would.
