For the price, that's normal. I have a 2 pack for $10 and it's pretty cheap so can't expect much from them. I have a warning and a complaint. The light on them is very bright, so keeping them on your bedside table on an extension cord will light up the room when you're sleeping and can be annoying in the middle of the night. I knew there would be light and it's extremely helpful to know when it's on and when you might have accidentally turned the strip off, but be careful with the brightness, I can easily tape it to block it simplify. My only complaint, however, is that he occasionally emits a very high-pitched screech. While some people can't hear it, others can and it's very annoying. It's also a problem because the immediate question is whether it's because it's getting too hot. Who knows, but I'm watching him do it. In general it serves its purpose. It has a slight pop when you press it, which takes away from the feel of quality, but for $10 I'm not worried about that.
