It was perfect for what I needed it for. I bought a separate drill that was larger, but the engraver itself was good. I had a hard time swapping out the millstone and keeping it in place, but I'm pretty sure it's just user error. In my opinion, this is not very good for a detailed, fine engraving. It does the job when you are in a crisis! I had to engrave this bottle of liquor for a friend and it turned out great. I didn't want to invest in a $200 engraver so it was the right price. I'm pretty sure it's due to the surface I was engraving on (glass), but there were some "cracks" or cracks that prevented me from getting a good result. clear line from time to time, but nothing important. It's noisy. So make sure you don't engrave at night lol.
