I live in an 1880s row home which has been pretty fully renovated, but is not without quirks. One of those quirks is that the hose bib out front is mere inches from the ground, making it very difficult (and usually pretty painful) to attach a hose. I have seriously probably spent a few hours cursing the builders, struggling with a hose, and beating up my knuckles over the years before realizing there was such a simple and inexpensive solution.I had no issues hooking this without leaks, and didn't need to use lithium grease or anything to help it seal. For those who find it leaks though, using some dish soap or grease might solve the problem.
