We have two dogs. We attach SmartKey to each puppy's collar (batteries are included). After wearing it for about an hour, I noticed that one of the pup's keys was missing a battery. We've been looking for a long time and haven't found it. We took the dogs inside to continue training them with the door. They only had to share the one remaining battery. I went to change the battery for another puppy collar. "Oh, MOLLY-BE-GOLLY-GOLLY!" It wasn't the best day for dogs. The battery in the other dog's collar was also OFF! After all the problems with the sensor on the door; then the loss of one of the batteries; Losing another battery was pure madness! We need to get our dog flap back because the sensor went haywire. Probably the only lemon out of a thousand doors that didn't have a problem! I felt so crazy! The next morning I went in search of these batteries. 2 hours 18 minutes searched, but found both! You worked your way out of the key. That's a very short screw-in and not reliable enough to guarantee that this won't happen to anyone else. We return all our orders and start over, hoping the next new door doesn't have any issues. I have a solution to keep the batteries in place so losing them isn't a problem.
