Review on Effortlessly Slice and Grate 🔪 with the Norpro Deluxe Mandoline Slicer/Grater by Terri Garcia

Knife broke while slicing raw carrots. The carrot literally "hooked" in the middle of the cut, there was a slight "click", and the blade continued to move along with the carrot. I've never been so disappointed *and* surprised by my dishes. I immediately went to the local store and bought something else for the same price, I didn't have a single problem. The blade on this one is held in place by a small round quarter inch weld. It looks like the weld was bad and more or less fell apart (I mean, carrots?!). I hope Norpro considers a stronger construction in the future, or at least a better weld if they are held by a weld. Solution (My replacement mandolin doesn't require any welding to keep the blade in place.) I tried sending it back to Revain, but since I no longer had the box it came in, I didn't know what to do should do. now it just sits in my pantry, gathering dust.
