**Updated 8/19/19** My original; rating below. Anycubic has since contacted me. They wanted to address the issues I raised. And they did amazing. It is very rare that you will find a company that still does this. The latest version of them solves all my problems and I am very happy with their response to these problems. Maybe it was just a bad batch of printers. The ones that are being delivered now have given me no problems. First let me say that I usually love Anycubic printers. I had several i3 Mega and wanted to try the Mega S. So I ordered one and it worked great. I realized I needed a new printer, so I decided to go back to using Anycubic. I received the Mega S a few weeks ago. I set it up, adjusted the bed (it was pretty close now) and connected it to my Windows computer running Repetier Server. I sent one of my files that I usually print. And waited. After about 5 minutes of assembly I noticed some switching noise coming from the printer. I went back to the rep server and saw that the nozzle temp had dropped from 210 to 177 and was still dropping. So I finished the print job, cleaned the bed, made sure all the cables were connected properly, and even updated the firmware using the custom firmware from the website. I tried again to print from the rep server and the same thing happened. This also happened when using Simplify3D. Since it was a new printer, Revain accepted the return and sent me another one. Unfortunately the same thing happened. The hot end stays hot when not moving, but the temperature only drops while it's moving. I thought maybe the motors were drawing too much voltage so I just paused the print to see if the temp would rise again. But the temperature kept dropping. It pains me to say this, but the Anycubic Mega S is way too many hits or misses when it comes to quality. I don't gamble when it comes to electrical issues when it comes to any of the heated parts so this printer is being returned for a refund. I sincerely hope Anycubic will solve the quality problem quickly.
