Used base coat and top coat with 2 coats of colour. It's a smooth formula that holds up well so it's not hard to get an even color in 2 coats. and i can say without testing its durability that with a good base and top coat it should last a few weeks like any other decent gel polish. Any other results you see in these reviews are simply poor nail application and/or prep. If the nail bed isn't stripped of shine and the cuticles aren't gone, then the base coat doesn't matter, and even the most expensive gel polish will chip or peel off much sooner than it should. and if you don't use a base coat at all then you shouldn't even check lol gel nail polishes need a base if you want it to last a month. Still, I'm giving 5 stars because the smell is minimal, good consistency, colors are bright, formula is great, packaging is great, no leaks or loose lids so no complaints here.
