Review on πŸ› Prevent Tub Clogs with Drain Buddy Deluxe 1.5” Wide Bathtub Drain Stopper and Hair Catcher by Adara Delgado

Revainrating 2 out of 5

There is not enough drainage from the basket, I found an alternative.

I really liked this DrainBuddy bath product because I wanted a siphon and drain plug for my bathtub in one. The metal chrome cover felt expensive and solid. The concept is good except for the plastic basket to collect the hair. It drained slower than if I had a flat strainer over the drain, which defeats the purpose as each hair makes it drain even slower. Standing in a pool of water during and after showering. Too bad it couldn't imitate the TubShroom which uses a pillar shaped rubber basket that maximizes the surface area of the drain hole and the TubShroom didn't have a drain stop even with a lot of hair. The only downside to this is that TubShroom doesn't act as a stopper. Looking for something that combines the benefits of these two inventions. UPDATE: Found! Bought a Plumb Pak K826-37 bath plug with a hair strainer, it combines the good points of Drain Buddy and Tubshroom plus the same high quality chrome lid. Like the Tubshroom, comes out easily with one piece instead of two for cleaning, but like the Drain Buddy closes tightly with a plug. As with Drain Buddy, you need a drain with a pole that I can't remove, for that I have to replace the entire tub! It was a good alternative.
