Coordinated painting by numbers. Due to the limited interaction I had with the brushes included in the kit, my frustration with it, and other people's suggestions for buying better brushes, I thought I'd buy these. Not being a real artist I can't speak too well about the true qualities of the brushes but I've been using them every day for about a week now and I love them. Here are some of my impressions: They are not as thin as these composition brushes. You do as you please, rather than scattering the paint hair by hair across the canvas while carefully trying to keep the color within the lines. They release the paint (acrylic) very easily until I let the paint dry on the brush. I know acrylic dissolves in water, but for some reason these typesetting brushes were terribly difficult to clean even when the paint was still wet. You don't have this problem. They have ergonomic triangular handles. It took me a few days to get used to it; Now I really like this feature. You look pretty attractive. I know looks don't affect drawing, but it makes the process a lot more fun. Finally, one downside I noticed is that if you leave the brushes in a glass of water for too long, the tips will bend and stay that way. One of the brushes really deteriorated so much that it was uncomfortable to use. BUT it's fixable, it turns out! Every time I'm done with a brush, I don't let it sit. I run the brush over the water, then rub my hand and cloth and repeat until clean. Then I carefully take the bristles out of the brush with my fingers and leave them on the table. After a few days, the curvature of the brush disappeared. I would definitely recommend these brushes to anyone looking for the best set for their paint by number projects.
