Great for a short time. He died in less than 1 year.

First of all this was purchased for HP OMEN-15 (15-ax033dx). We have several of these laptops and the information below is specific to using these devices. Last year when it was brand new it worked great right out of the box! Having two laptop ports at the end is a nice feature. The wall side of the cable is modular, which comes in handy in case it gets damaged or you need more distance from the wall to the power supply. The cable that comes with it is really quite short and needs at least a foot more in my opinion. The supplied Velcro seems to be well made and serves its purpose perfectly! The physical size is only slightly larger than the original stone so this is not an issue for me. However, this can be a handicap for those traveling and expecting it to be light and/or small. Now we come to the big tranquilizers. Although it worked for almost a year, it got very hot during use. Significantly warmer than the OEM power supply. In recent months, it spontaneously started to stop charging. If I can get it to connect and start charging for longer than 30 seconds, I can trust it to do so as long as the battery is fully charged. However, at random intervals it will not be recognized as plugged in and/or will turn off and stop charging. When I plug it in, it usually starts charging and turns off after a few seconds. No wiggling of cables, moving, rotating the connector, reinstallation, etc. will solve the problem. I usually just have to plug and unplug it for it to register and stop charging. Since I'm sitting here on a laptop, it won't charge now. The blue status light on the brick is on all the time, it never turns off or changes regardless of the state of the laptop's charging light. I unplugged the AC adapter and left it plugged into the laptop, allowed it to drain the remaining charge and the lights went out. Then I turn it back on and nothing changes. Replacing the wires from the side of the wall with other power sources doesn't change anything. Now I think we'll see how good the support is for this product! EDIT: 5/6/21 - Customer service was very prompt and helpful. They replaced it under warranty and sent a new one straight away. Received today and we are charging again as usual. Hope the other one was just a fluke!
