This does not protect 1200 pounds in any way
The brackets are aluminum not steel. The screw holes are NOT 1/4". They must be metric because they are slightly smaller than 1/4". I had to drill them to 1/4" to install the 1/4" rivets. If you don't plan on using them to secure heavy loads, look for something better. I installed them in a cargo box to keep things in place with nets and straps.
