I ordered this product to help my autistic son with math. He loves technology, and the ability to use manipulation makes abstract concepts like math more concrete for him. He likes to use it and it helps him with his understanding of numbers. My daughter is more advanced in math (3rd grade, up to multiplication and division) and she enjoyed playing with her too. It's not that fun that someone would want to play with it without prompting - it's math, after all, and they'd rather use an iPad to watch YouTube - but they enjoy it a lot more than worksheets. the change is the device mount on the playmat. Since this is an item for kids using an expensive tablet or phone, I think it will work better with devices that use cases. I have child protective cases on my devices so they are a little thicker and the device holder on the playmat doesn't like storing devices in these cases. Not a big deal since I'm only propping up the devices lined up with the mat, but that seems to be an oversight.
