While I do use these to organize electric cords around the house, my main reason for this purchase was to save my Christmas tree.Year after year, my cats have used the bottom branches as a bed. The branches have bent, but were always able to be bent back. This year, though, it was no longer working. I purchased a bag of 12” ties along with these.I am able to tie the bottom row of branches to the row above, and those to the row above them.Previous years, I have woken up each morning to repair the branches that were bent overnight. For the first time since getting the tree, I am not having that problem.I also use them to secure the strings of lights in the tree. I will be using them to do the same for my outdoor lights, too.Best thing about this purchase is that I get twice the amount of ties for half the price compared to the ones at my local store.(One thing I want to add for anyone who reads this and decides to use zip ties for the same tree support method because of cats. please be sure to use an extra tie to make sure the cats won’t get caught in any of the loops!)
