I have bought them in almost every color and wear them all summer and fall. I'm 5'8", weigh 192 lbs, have longer legs, a short torso and quite a large waist. They hit my ankles and I tighten my ankles. The material is light and soft. Size XL fits me perfectly , the elastic waistband does not constrict and the legs are free.If you are a pear with a small waist and short legs, you can use the drawstring to tighten them at the waist, and the same at the ankles.There are 2 pockets with zippers on hips in the usual place, a zipped cargo pocket on the left hip and 1 zipped back pocket 1 on the right hip.The zips move slightly.I have washed them in both cold and warm water and hang dried, no shrinkage. The label says they can be tumble dried low, but I line dry all my garments to retain their properties and shape.I b in very satisfied how light and comfortable they are.
